We're excited to welcome Marius Maré to the GivenGain team as the head of digital marketing. Marius brings extensive experience to the stable, amassed over several years at some premier brands, and I look forward to seeing GivenGain attain the rapid recognisability and support it deserves under his expert guidance.
Marius has eight years' experience in the fields of marketing, communication and branding, and seven years' academic exposure in the disciplines of business, marketing and leadership. He's spent most of his working career as the marketing manager for FNB Online Banking, FNB Credit Card and takealot.com.
Marius has a passion for community development as well as orphaned and vulnerable children. He's been heading up a community project in Swaziland for the last four years, during which he completed his MBA thesis on brand-building within nonprofit organisations. This included a case study on LIV village (a cause on givengain.com), which he presented at the International Association for Public and Nonprofit Management in Brazil last year.
Marius spends most of his money travelling the world, trying to understand how different we all are and why. He spent the last three months traveling South America and has visited 31 countries, which leaves only 164 to cross off his to-do list, he says. He also loves fishing, golf, the odd rum and doesn't have a favourite colour.
