2019 marks the second consecutive year in which the Absa Cape Epic partnered with GivenGain as part of its formal charity engagement programme – with stand-out successes.

Focusing on 2018’s fundraising lessons, the GivenGain team encouraged the event to use incentives like free race entry to motivate competition for the spot of top participating fundraiser. Such tactics, paired with a longer lead time to the event, has had a phenomenal impact: In the end, £37,854 was raised for 17 charities – a 102% increase on last year, and the number of fundraiser projects increased by 53% to 24.
